Support small business!

Hey bloggers,

I’m from a small town in San Diego named Encinitas, Enc is known for their “going green” life style and buying local is involved with that! I’ve been able to meet such awesome people from street fairs, and also from working!

My really good friend, who is a housewife, mother, and sewer is making and selling the bandeau’s shown above. They come in many different colors and fit comfortably up to a size 34C. She posts only what she has made so no special orders and she is working on bigger sizes in the next few months to come!

Secondly, my brother (who works at Apple) met the sweetest girl ever Julie, who also knows my mom as well and many of my friends…small world…. any ways she sells laptop cases, iPad cases, purses, clutches and many more awesome items all made from burlap! So I finished my burlap banner for my graduation party! I hot glued the individual triangles to the rope then I painted the letters with white paint! Super easy craft if you do it from start to finish only takes 1 hour Start by making a triangle as your sample then get burlap and trace it with a sharpie Then cut all your triangles out. Then glue it to the rope (99 cent store has it cheap)  Then I free handed my letters but you could draw them with sharpie first then paint over them!

Hey y’all,

It’s been a while since I last posted. Sorry :/ been busy doing weddings, finishing school, and planning my 2 parties for graduation!

This last weekend my sisters horse trainer came over after meeting on sunday and made us a huge authentic mexican lunch! So I have aton of left overs and I’m trying to get as creative as possible. 

In other news, 1 month and 7 days till graduation!

Thursday I spent the wonderful day in the kitchen with my mom…we bonded for 13 hours well we baked over 600 desserts, 11 different items. This was my first baking job and was so exciting to see all my desserts gone at the wedding. We left with no extras! There was close to 200 people at the wedding and made 3 desserts per person!  I tried to take a picture of all the desserts but forgot a few :/ we made peanut butter cup cheesecake minis mini pumpkin bread loafs lemon bars bonbons(cake pop w/o stick) rice crispy treats on a stick with chocolate drizzle chocolate dipped pretzels peanut butter bars brownies chocolate chip cookies strawberry pie sweet potato pie pecan pie We also got news from our landlord that she will be hooking up our commercial kitchen stove and oven in the garage (When our house foreclosed we took our oven cause it was our favorite thing in the house and was worth a lot) So excited to be using the oven again…only bakers and cooks understand :)

How important is your room to you? Is it the place you spend the most time or the least?

For me it’s the most! When I moved from the house I was raised in I went crazy thinking of all the things I can do to my room having a FRESH START…new furniture, new pictures, new everything! The one thing I knew fore sure when I saw my new room was I loved my window-sill area and couldn’t wait to start my new garden in my room! 

The orchids grow great with having shaded sun so my blinds are not fully open during the day! I also got cool succulents in the glass from the flower mart in carlsbad (you have to be a florist to get in, since it’s tax free) they were $5’s a piece compared to $25’s for just the glass no succulent. 

Now with having these plants I talked to the florist and she said you only water them once a week or every two weeks with an ice cube!

My amazing grandparents celebrated their 62nd anniversary, yup thats right SIXTY TWO years! Amazing huh? I saw a cake similar to this on Pinterest and it inspired me to make the cake and I added my own touch with the banner! M.A.L.T.B.A.L.L C.A.K.E [X] double chocolate cake [X] homemade coco frosting  [X] maltballs 2.5 pounds! Long time no see

Landen Swanson died January 13,2012. Landen was close to my family when we were growing up. He was my brothers first friend in Encinitas and brought so many crazy memories into our lives! He is missed so much and we will always love him! Not a day goes by without thinking about him. I made these cupcakes for his memorial. —————————————————————————————————————— Mini cupcakes our always a hit. Many people don’t finish a whole cupcakes or they don’t care to ‘waste their calories’ on one. They also bake 4 dozen in one box! There are so many reasons why they are great!
